After months of anticipation, Chef Marcus Kim has officially opened Nori in Manhattan's West Village, and the early reviews are overwhelmingly positive. The 45-seat restaurant merges Korean and Japanese culinary traditions with locally sourced ingredients from Hudson Valley farms.
The tasting menu, priced at $185 per person, features standout courses including a wagyu bulgogi with fermented black garlic and a delicate uni toast topped with shiso and yuzu kosho. Kim, who previously earned two Michelin stars at his Seoul restaurant, told reporters the move to New York has been a lifelong dream.
Reservations are already booked through June, though the restaurant does hold a handful of walk-in seats at the bar each evening. Food critics have called Nori 'the most exciting opening of 2026 so far' and a strong contender for a Michelin star in its debut year.
