Mushroom-infused coffee has officially crossed from niche wellness circles into the mainstream, with three major coffee brands launching their own adaptogenic blends this spring. Sales of mushroom coffee grew 82 percent in 2025.

The beverages typically combine regular coffee with extracts of lion's mane, chaga, or reishi mushrooms, promising benefits like improved focus and reduced jitters compared to traditional coffee.

Nutritionists note that while early research on medicinal mushrooms is promising, consumers should be wary of exaggerated health claims and choose products with transparent sourcing and third-party testing.
